When the farmhouse was eventually taken over by a new owner many of these beautiful trees were cut down. The large black walnut logs were taken away by a mill, but many of the unwanted smaller logs have since been transformed into our spoons and spatulas. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe second source for the wood used to carve the spoons is from Joseph’s childhood home. Around 30 years ago, Joseph’s father cut down a black walnut tree from their garden.
