Vintage Handwoven Moroccan Double Sided Amazigh Beni M’Guild Rug

A rare double-sided vintage Moroccan Amazigh rug from the Middle Atlas mountain region of Khenifra. Woven with remarkable versatility, each side offers a completely different aesthetic, allowing the rug to be enjoyed in two distinct ways. One face features a short, abrashed pile with softly shifting shades of pink, woven with subtle striations and accented by geometric motifs in warm orange and natural undyed wool. The reverse is knotted with a deep, luxurious pile, creating a beautifully mottled composition of cream, charcoal, and blush pink that evokes an almost abstract, animal-like pattern with a distinctly contemporary feel.

Finished with vibrant pink tassels at either end, this is an unusually versatile piece that can be styled according to the mood of a room. Its practical size makes it equally suited to a living space, bedroom, or reading nook, where the rich texture and naturally handwoven character bring warmth, softness, and individuality. Few Amazigh rugs offer such contrasting personalities within a single textile, making this a particularly special example.
