Vintage Moroccan Amazigh Beni Ouarain Cream Looped Hanbel
A vintage Moroccan Amazigh Beni Ouarain hanbel, distinguished by its looped-pile construction rather than the deeper double-knotted pile more commonly associated with traditional Beni Ouarain carpets. The emphasis here is on texture rather than pattern, creating a calm and understated piece with a beautifully tactile surface.
Handwoven from local, undyed Moroccan wool, the ivory field is subtly enlivened by delicate variations in tone, with a handful of darker lines in soft brown tones gently emerging through the pile. Finished with simple tassels along one end, its restrained palette and richly textured surface make it a versatile piece that would work beautifully in a bedroom, living space or quiet reading corner.
With acknowledgement and gratitude for the woman weaver who conceptualised and crafted this unique item. Please take the time to discover more about the Amazigh ('Berber') weaving tradition here.

Only items where the function of the piece is impacted will be considered damaged. All cosmetic marks and signs of wear are part of the natural character of vintage pieces. If you are not comfortable with used or worn pieces, our standard collection may be more appealing.
