Vintage Moroccan Amazigh Boujad Rug

A vintage Moroccan Amazigh Boujad rug with a beautifully faded, time-softened pink palette and an expressive geometric composition. The design is made up of loosely arranged geometric motifs and irregular bands, giving the rug a sense of movement while retaining the spontaneous, almost painterly quality characteristic of many vintage Boujad pieces.

The colours have softened considerably with age, creating a muted, harmonious palette in which the original tones now appear gently washed and blended together. The slightly irregular drawing and natural variations in the wool give the rug its unique handmade character, while the aged surface adds a lived-in quality. This is a rare and gorgeous example of the kind of vinatge Boujad rug that is becoming increasingly hard to find.

Condition: The rug is structurally sound with localised historic repairs. The colour is faded, creating a soft palette that only adds to its vinatge appeal.
