Vintage Moroccan Large Classic Beni Ouarain Rug

A wonderfully soft, large vintage Moroccan Amazigh Beni Ouarain carpet, handwoven in a classic charcoal lozenge lattice against an ivory ground. Woven from locally sourced handspun Moroccan wool and beautifully executed with a densely knotted construction, the lofty pile is exceptionally soft underfoot and rich in natural texture.

Its generous proportions make it particularly well suited to larger living spaces, dining rooms or bedrooms, where its calm palette and lofty pile create warmth without dominating the room. Finished with traditional tassels on one end, as well as the typical red protection line or talismanic thread, this is a versatile vintage piece that sits effortlessly in both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Material: 100% local handspun Moroccan wool.

Condition: In very good vintage condition, with an age-appropriate patina and light signs of wear consistent with careful use. The reverse side has several stains, shown in the photographs; however, these do not affect the pile side of the rug or its appearance when in use.
